The Powerglide Status is a 57in split snooker cue built on an enhanced-grain ash shaft with a hand-spliced four-point rosewood butt and a front splice of rosewood and maple. The grains are matched either side of the joint, so the feathering runs unbroken along the shaft when the cue is assembled and still gives the eye a line to sight along.

A four-point hand-spliced butt is cut and fitted point by point rather than machined as a sleeve, which is what keeps the butt stable as the timbers age and puts the weight where a maker intends it.
